Understand the flight. Keep the limits clear.
What belongs on this website?
Airport-pair geography, practical lookup help and a path to the BELT app. Route guides are static reference material. They do not rank today's flights, show live turbulence or predict the conditions at your seat.
What is being prepared in the app?
Flight tracking, route visualization and available turbulence guidance for iPhone and iPad. Basic flight tracking and route summaries are planned alongside optional Plus exploration by forecast time and altitude and a national forecast map. Final features, localized subscription terms and the verified download link will accompany App Store availability.
A schedule is not an observation
Scheduled times describe a plan. A provider update may change that plan. A position observation has its own timestamp, while a forecast is an estimate for a future time and area. None should be relabeled as a live turbulence measurement.
Coverage and freshness matter
Missing or stale data must be labeled as unavailable or old, rather than smooth. Forecast coverage varies by region, source, altitude and time. Streamed imagery and live updates need connectivity; saved route data depends on successful preparation while online.
Your crew makes the decisions
BELT is passenger information, not a navigation, aircraft-control or flight-planning system. Always follow crew instructions. The FAA's passenger guidance explains why keeping a seat belt fastened while seated matters even when turbulence is unexpected.
